"I participated in D-Day June 1944 in the Utah Beach 3rd assault wave as a surgical tech, attending to approximately 300 wounded, three doctors, and 20 corpsmen. When Europe was secured I was sent to California to train with 1st Marine Assault Unit Special Forces to train for the Invasion of Japan … I finished my tour of duty with the Shore Patrol in Honolulu, Hawaii."
